Molly and Joe first met at an iconic "Love Island" themed party hosted by their wonderful friends, Alex & Tina Kimberling and Liam Purcell at their Logan Square apartment. While Molly spoke with a British accent, Joe showed up in an Irish cap and Hawaiian shirt. Joe got down on one knee to propose to a girl he had met just hours before, and they became the winners of Love Island Logan Square 2020. Little did they know, four years later to the day, Joe would propose to Molly.

Molly and Joe spent countless hours on the phone during their hour-long commutes home, discussing everything from work and family to their goals and the future. This laid the foundation for their relationship. After a few months of dating, they made their relationship official on June 14, 2021.

Every day spent together became more and more memorable. From boat cruises with friends on Lake Geneva and Lake Michigan, they started spending a lot more time together. Getting to know each other's friends and family was the easiest part of growing together.

You know you're officially "officially dating" when you start attending weddings together. Joe and Molly attended their first wedding together in January 2022, for Tommy and Andrea Penicook. Joe really lit up the dance floor!

They celebrated their first Christmas with their families in 2022. Of course, they had to visit the Christkindlemart in Chicago to go iceskating. This is when Molly realized that she was infact, not a great ice skater, atleast compared to Joe (who infact grew up with an icerink in his backyard).

Their travels took them to Napa Valley to celebrate their close friends wedding, Tom and Emily Fiedler. They went to their first wine tasting and had the chance to drive through the wine valley's of Napa. Minus the 5AM flight out of San Fransico the morning after the wedding, the trip was a success.

Molly and Joe decided to move in together in Logan Square, Chicago, at Joe's condo. It was the best thing that could have happened for their relationship, and they realized they were compatible in terms of both their future goals and lifestyle.

Four years to the day, Joe got down on one knee and proposed to Molly, and she said yes! While Molly wasn't surprised by the proposal, Joe planned the most special evening to celebrate their love and commitment. He threw a surprise engagement party for our friends and family, with people flying in from all over the country to celebrate!

In classic "Molly fashion," after attending nine weddings in 2024, she quoted, "We have not gone on any trips this year." This was quickly followed by planning a two-week vacation to Europe. It was our first time traveling outside the country, and we definitely learned a lot. The biggest takeaway? We are excellent travel companions!

The European adventure included stops in Amsterdam (Netherlands), Tromso (Norway), London & Cambridge (UK), and Dublin (Ireland). They saw the Northern Lights, went dog sledding, saw Wicked, enjoyed delicious food, and navigated 6 flights in 12 days.
